THE SPI IN THE SQUARE OF NEW FROM 2 TO 7 November because of the mobilization of retirees.
The National Secretariat of the SPI has opened for the week of November 2 to 7 a new phase of mobilization, information and listening to the retired and elderly subjects on the purchasing power of pensions, long-term care, health policy and social health.
The initiative aims to urge the political forces and the national government to address practical issues that are the basis of our claims and require urgent and priority decisions. The government continues, however, to ignore and underestimate the dramatic social and economic crisis compounded by the lack of certain prospects for millions of people and famiglie.Le mode of mobilization - leafleting, press conferences, meetings with parliamentary assemblies - will be decided locally, not underestimating that can be sought wherever possible unit agreements. These appointments will also be the opportunity to support the membership.
The mobilization of retirees is part of the initiatives that the CGIL (from
www.cgil.it ) will promote the country as decided by the Board last September 30. These are the questions addressed by
LiberEtà, the monthly of Spi CGIL, Silvio Berlusconi:
1. You know Mr. President that in our country there are nearly three and a half million retirees who collect less than 500 € per month. What will you do to improve the economic condition of these people?
2. Today in Italy according to ISTAT, there are 2.4 million poor. The social card, which was to fight poverty, has been released only to 570,000 citizens. How do you think can improve the condition of the other two million poor people?
3. There is a decree of 2007 passed by the previous government which commits the government to convene a negotiating table with the pensioners' unions to bring the purchasing power of pensions. Because after all the requests that were made lesono not convene the table?
4. In the last year the rise in inflation has diminished, but the prices of goods Diprima need, which weigh as much spending on pensioners, have continued to grow as before. Why do not you want to re-examine the operation of the automatic equalization of pensions as they ask the pensioners' unions CGIL, CISL and UIL?
5. You know that the last agreement between the government and unions in July 2007 was the commitment to extend also to the fourteenth monthly pension over 700 €. Why does not comply with that agreement?
6. The latest figures from the Ministry of Economy point out that many self-employed persons earning less than a pensioner to a minimum. What will you do to reduce tax evasion?
7. The citizens who pay taxes to the penny are employees and retirees. Why not agree to open a table, as requested by the CGIL, to reduce their taxes? She knows that if he leaves them more money in your pocket could consume more, as she urges them to do, and help us overcome the crisis. Why not?
8. In Italy there are now more than two million senior citizens in need of care and without adequate public assistance. Because this drama is not among the priorities of his government?
9. You know that in Parliament there is a law of popular initiative on self-sufficiency is not submitted by the pensioners' unions CGIL, CISL and UIL waiting to be discussed? Why not endeavor to set a date for the start of parliamentary debate?
10. Some regions have launched a own law for the non-self-sufficiency and have set up their own funds to finance it. Because the last Budget you cut the national fund for long-term care, approved by the previous government, thus putting extreme difficulty in the regional and local governments?
